Head of IT & Digitalization Jobs, Karachi 2026: Up to Rs 400,000+ Salary

This isn’t another “IT Support” job where you spend all day fixing keyboards.
A pharma company in Karachi is looking for a boss. Someone to take over their entire tech department and drag it into 2026.
The job title is Head of IT & Digitalization.
And yes, the salary starts at Rs 400,000 per month.

So what will you actually do here?
Forget the fancy JD for a second. Let me tell you what this looks like day-to-day.
Right now, this company still runs on Excel sheets and paper files. The CEO is done with it. He wants everything online. Fast.
That’s where you come in.
You’ll be the guy in charge of:
1. The Whole IT Team
You’ll have a team under you. 5 people, maybe 10. Your job is to lead them, not micromanage. Set the budget. Set the rules. Hire when you need to. Fire when you have to.
2. Kill the Paperwork
This is the big one. HR is still printing leave forms. Warehouse is using notebooks for stock.
Your mission is simple: automate it.
Use AI, use RPA, use Power BI, use whatever works. The goal is less manual work.
3. Own the ERP System
They use SAP/Oracle for everything. Finance, HR, Supply, Production. It’s a mess.
You’ll handle the upgrades, the integrations, and make sure the sales team can actually use the CRM without calling IT 10 times a day.
4. Keep Hackers Out
Pharma data is sensitive. You’ll be responsible for firewalls, security audits, and making sure some intern doesn’t click a phishing email and take down the whole network.
5. Make Reports That Matter
The management doesn’t care about server uptime. They care about money.
You’ll build dashboards in Power BI that show them: “Hey, we saved 2 million this quarter because we automated X.”
Who is a good fit for this?
Let’s not waste time.
You should apply if:
- You have 12-15 years in IT. Not just coding. Real, messy, company IT experience.
- You’ve led a team for at least 5 years. You know how to handle deadlines and angry department heads.
- You’ve done at least 1 big ERP project. You know it’s never smooth.
- You’ve worked in Pharma, FMCG, or Manufacturing before. If you understand supply chain, even better.
Education: A Bachelor’s in CS/IT is a must. MBA is nice to have.
Certs: PMP, ITIL, Azure, AWS. If you have them, mention them. If not, your project history matters more.
Honestly? We care more about what you’ve built than what paper you have.
