What you’ll be doing
Do the testing
Check raw materials, samples from the production line, finished products, and even to the extent that the plant environment.
Please test for bacteria, TVC, yeast, mold, and coliforms. Make sure all our products are safe to eat.
Own food safety
You’ll make sure we’re following HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, and BRCGS. In short, keep our food safety and quality systems on track.
Run the lab
You’re in charge of the lab. Set up new tests, calibrate equipment, and make sure we’re following GLP every day.
Solve issues
Sometimes things don’t go according to plan, and you have to figure out where the problem is. This means investigating the reasons for failures, such as poor test results or not enough data.
Handle audits
You’ll handle internal audits, outside audits, and inspections. Plus, you’ll take care of cleaning validation too.
Guide the team
Train junior microbiologists and lab techs on SOPs and how to work clean/aseptic.
What you need
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or a related field
Experience: At least 5-6 years in a food or beverage lab. This is a hands-on role, so real lab experience is important.
We’re looking for someone with good knowledge of foodborne pathogens, hygiene monitoring, environmental testing, and food safety standards.
Candidates with hands-on experience in food production and routine lab testing will be given preference.
Certifications in HACCP, PCQI, or ISO 22000 are a plus and will give you an edge.
