Job Overview
Position: Senior Officer Quality Control (Packaging)
Company: Pharmatec Pakistan
Location: Head Office, SITE Karachi
Department: Quality Control
Qualification: Pharm-D
Experience: Minimum 3-4 Years
Application Deadline: 25 August 2026
Let me be real with you
I’ve seen many Pharm-D graduates stuck between production and sales jobs. But packaging QC is different.
A friend of mine started in packaging QC 3 years ago. Today he’s leading the team. Why? Because companies take this role seriously. Packaging is where compliance, branding, and patient safety all meet.
At Pharmatec, you won’t just be testing materials. You’ll be protecting the brand and making sure every label, box, and leaflet meets DRAP standards.
What You’ll Actually Be Doing
Forget “just sitting in the lab.” Your week will look like this:
Sampling & Testing Incoming Packaging Materials
Every shipment of cartons, bottles, labels, and leaflets that comes in – you’ll manage the sampling and testing. If the shade is off by 2%, it goes back.
- Sampling & Testing Incoming Packaging Materials
Every shipment of cartons, bottles, labels, and leaflets that comes in – you’ll manage the sampling and testing. If the shade is off by 2%, it goes back. - Own the Drug Labeling Rules
You need sound knowledge of drug labeling regulations. You’ll be involved in the development, proofreading, and approval cycle of all packaging materials. One typo on a label can trigger a regulatory audit. - Maintain Records Like a Pro
Testing records, batch records, approval logs – everything has to be audit-ready. In GMP, if it’s not documented, it didn’t happen. - Coordinate Across Teams
You’ll work closely with Production, Procurement, Regulatory, and external vendors. If packaging is delayed, production stops. So timely execution is on you. - Control Labeling Status
You’ll ensure the status of all packaging materials is “Approved” or “Rejected” according to SOPs. No grey area.
Requirements – What You Need to Apply
Must-Have:
- Education: Pharm-D degree is mandatory
- Experience: 3-4 years in Quality Control, preferably in packaging

Good to Have:
- Attention to detail – this job is all about it
